Inclusive Flights and Transfers

All of our catered chalet holidays include flights either from Heathrow, Gatwick, or Manchester airports.

While we have always offered flights from Heathrow, we wanted to branch out and offer you more. Our customers live all over the UK, so it’s only right that our flights go from airports across the country.

We are proud to say that all our ski holiday deals have flights and transfers included in the price. This means you won’t have to spend time trying to find cheap flight deals or workout wait times for transfers to the resort. Let us organise and manage it all! The prices you see stated on our website are inclusive of the flights and transfer prices (unless otherwise stated). That means what you see is what you get.

You’ll find no hidden fees with us. All flights and transfers are included.

Heathrow and Gatwick Flights

Heathrow (LHR) flights are with British Airways on Ski Vertigo’s own private charter* to Lyon (LYS) Saint Exupéry airport:

Outbound: BA8606 at 07:30 from LHR Terminal 5 with arrival at 10:10 into LYS Terminal 1
Inbound: BA8607 at 11:00 from LYS Terminal 1 with arrival at 11:40 into LHR Terminal 5

Gatwick (LGW) flights are with Jet2 on a charter* also to Lyon Saint Exupéry airport:

Outbound: LS2195 at 07:10 from LGW South Terminal with arrival at 10:00 into LYS Terminal 1
Inbound: LS2196 at 10:50 from LYS Terminal 1 with arrival at 11:35 into LGW South Terminal

Manchester Flights

We also have a limited number of Manchester (MAN) seats on a scheduled Jet2 flight* to Lyon (LYS) Saint Exupéry airport:

Outbound: LS945 at 06:45 from MAN with arrival at 09:45 into LYS Terminal 1

Inbound: LS946 at 10:35 from LYS Terminal 1 with arrival at 11:35 into MAN

*Please note that flight times are provisional until e-tickets are received. It is not possible to check-in online or reserve your seat beforehand. No Air Miles or Avios points can be collected on these flights. There is a buy-on-board service.

Ski/board carriage is available to purchase on BA flights, it is cheaper when pre-booked at the time of booking your holiday.

Coach Transfer Information

When you exit the airport in Lyon, your holiday will truly begin! We’ll meet you with a coach outside the terminal in Lyon. The coach will transfer you directly to your chosen ski resort through some of the most stunning areas of the French Alps.

Due to our expert planning, your transfer coach will usually be awaiting your arrival – think of it as a VIP service! When your incredible ski holiday has unfortunately come to an end, you’ll do the same trip but in return.

Once again, we will organise and manage the whole of your journey home. That means as soon as you check out of your chalet, we’ll meet you with a coach transfer. You’ll get to experience the beauty of the French Alps countryside once more as you travel back to Lyon airport.

How Long Will the Transfer take?

All four of our ski resorts are conveniently located close to Lyon airport. Depending on weather and traffic most transfers should take approximately 3-4 hours, but please note this can be significantly longer during schools holidays.

It’s important to note, that these times can vary depending on traffic, weather, and driver’s hours. If there’s any reason we suspect your journey will take longer, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Alternative Travel Options

While we believe a flight and transfer-included holiday is the best way forward, if you wish to make alternative arrangements, we support that. And if your plan is to road trip across France to get to your chosen resort, we are very jealous!

That said, we will not be able to offer any reduction in price for your package holiday. Our flights are pre-purchased, and therefore, it’s not an option for us to remove them. Furthermore, if you choose to find your own flights, we will book your ski holiday on an accommodation-only basis (financially protected by ABTOT).

You will be responsible for making your own travel arrangements to your chalet, such as transfers or car hire. If that’s the case for you, we’ll see you there!
