Introducing Chalet Yukon

Located just a short walk from the pretty, vibrant centre of Val d’Isère and its Olympic ski lifts, Chalet Yukon combines traditional charm with a contemporary twist.
Chalet Yukon offers a spacious open plan kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge with cosy log fire and balcony where you can relax and check out the stunning views towards the Solaise mountain and its famous bumps run. There are 3 stylish ensuite bedrooms each with room safe and USB charging points. Free WiFi is included with the chalet.

Chalet Yukon is just a short walk from the Olympique or Solaise lifts heading into the vast Val d’Isère ski area.

Room Information

The Ski Area

Val d’Isère needs little in the way of introduction; it has one of the best snow records in France and an extensive ski area with over 300kms of pistes, served by 96 lifts. It links to neighbouring Tignes to offer some of the highest skiing in Europe.

Chalet Yukon is just a short walk from the Olympique or Solaise lifts heading into the vast Val d’Isère ski area.

The Resort

Chalet Yukon is situated just a short walk from the atmospheric and pretty village centre and ski lifts. The partly pedestrianised resort centre is lively in the evenings offering a huge choice of aprés ski options from a quiet drink to partying until 4am if you’ve the energy!

Ski/board hire via Ski Vertigo

Prebook your ski/board hire through us before you travel and receive access to our preferential rates. We have partnered with Skiset, the shop that is closest to the central lifts and ski school meeting point, making swaps easier. You will receive a voucher which can be presented at the shop in return for your equipment.

Lift Passes via Ski Vertigo

Save hassle in resort and prebook your lift passes through Ski Vertigo for ease and convenience. Call our sales team today on 01252 365490 to prebook them. They will be delivered to your chalet the evening you arrive in resort for your ease and convenience.

Flights

Flights are with British Airways on Ski Vertigo’s own flight from London Heathrow to Lyon.

Outbound: BA8606 at 0730 from LHR Terminal 5 with arrival at 1010 into LYS Terminal 1

Inbound: BA8607 at 1100 from LYS Terminal 1 with arrival at 1140 into LHR Terminal 5

Transfers

Coaches will be waiting outside the terminal in Lyon to transfer you directly to Val d’Isere. On the return, you will be transferred directly to Lyon by coach. Transfer time to/from resort is approx. 3 hours under normal conditions.

In Resort

On arrival in resort, all guests will need to disembark at the central bus station where your bags will be transferred by us to your chalet whilst you make your way on foot the short distance to the chalet with our staff. On departure, the same happens in reverse.

“Outstanding quality of service provided by EVERY single member of staff we had the pleasure to meet – anything we required was provided or dealt with extremely quickly! Tiggy worked so incredibly hard to ensure our two gluten-free children were well catered for and all food was excellent throughout the entire week. Anna also worked incredibly hard at maintaining our chalet to an excellent standard, with Hugh’s help. Thank you to Tiggy, Anna and Hugh and the whole Ski Vertigo team for a wonderful and memorable first ski family holiday!”

  My wife and I had our first chalet experience with ski vertigo in Valdisere. We stayed in chalet Ontario and after a huge delay getting to the chalet we were greeted by our two hosts for a late night supper.

I can’t speak highly enough of the chalet or the hosts, the food was plentiful and always delicious. Breakfast was a variety of cooked breakfasts, eggs and pastries. Evening meal was always a three course affair and the wine was also delicious with several options available.

Coming off the hill to a different cake baked fresh each day was a delight and the hot tub offered welcome relief.

The hosts also offered great advice on where to go and what was good to ski each day depending on the conditions. They also helped plan routes for the less confident skiers in the group ensuring they could experience the entire mountain while being limited by their ability.

  Wow wow wow! The best experience. Everything about our trip was faultless. I would 100% recommend Ski Vertigo and will most definitely be using their services again.

Our chalet hosts, Becky and Steve, were incredible - attentive, friendly and talented. The food was incredible and their service was impeccable. Thank you both for making our trip so special.

  Chalet Pegase, Val Thorens Jan 2024. Myself and our group of 5 had a blast. Chalet was perfect for us. It’s in an ideal situation at the top of town and close to all amenities. And yes it really is doorstep skiing.
Chalet hosts were great and really looked after us. Food was nice and there was no shortage of wine with the meal if you wanted it. Rooms were fine, comfortable with en-suite facilities.
I have been to plusher places in my many years of skiing but have had to pay an awful lot more for them.
This chalet finds a nice balance of value / quality that really suited ourselves. Well done Ski Vertigo
