Who we are

Ski Vertigo is a trading name of Ski Famille Ltd, company number 02099287, registered office Pearson Court, 1 Kings Road, Fleet, Hampshire, GU51 3DL. We are the data controller for the personal information we collect through skivertigo.co.uk and when you book a holiday with us, and we handle it under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• When you make an enquiry or contact us: your name, email address and phone number, and anything you tell us about the holiday you are interested in, such as the resort or chalet, dates, group size, budget, extras and your message.
• When you sign up to our newsletter: your email address.
• When you book online: the lead guest’s title, name, email address, phone number and billing address, the chalet, week and departure airport, the number of adults, children and infants in your party, and any notes you add.
• When you pay: card payments are taken on the secure payment page of our payment provider, Ecommpay. You enter your card details directly with them and we never see or store your card number.
• When you travel with us: the details of everyone in your party that we need to arrange your flights, transfers and chalet. If you tell us about a medical condition, disability or dietary need so that we can look after you, we use it only for that purpose.
• When you contact Guest Relations through the website: your name, email address, phone number, booking reference, the resort and chalet you stayed in, your message and any documents or photos you choose to attach.
• When you use our website: if you accept analytics cookies, information about how you use the site (see Cookies below). Our website providers also keep short-term technical records, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and to stop spam.

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

• To answer your enquiry and help you choose a holiday, including following up on it. This is in our legitimate interest, and it is what you asked us to do.
• To take, manage and deliver your booking, including flights, transfers and your chalet. This is necessary for our contract with you.
• To take payments and prevent fraud. This is necessary for our contract with you and in our legitimate interest.
• To send you our newsletter and offers. We do this only if you have signed up, or if you have booked with us before and have not opted out. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails.
• To deal with feedback, complaints and anything that goes wrong during your holiday. This is in our legitimate interest and part of our contract with you.
• To understand how our website is used and improve it. We do this only if you accept analytics cookies.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as ATOL, tax and accounting requirements.

Who we share it with

We share only what each organisation needs to do its job, and they may only use it for that purpose.

• Topic+, our booking system, operated for us by TAS Solutions. Your booking details are sent to Topic+ to price and create your booking.
• Ecommpay, our card payment provider. When you pay online, your booking reference, the amount, your name, contact details and billing address are passed to Ecommpay so that it can take the payment.
• ActiveCampaign, which we use to manage enquiries and bookings and to send emails, including our newsletter.
• Brevo, which sends the website’s notification emails to our team.
• Our website hosting and support providers, who run the website and keep secure backups of it.
• Google and Microsoft, for website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• The airlines, transfer companies and resort partners who provide your holiday.
• Authorities or other organisations where the law requires it, and a buyer of our business if it is sold.

Processing outside the UK

Some of these providers, such as ActiveCampaign, Google and Microsoft, may process your information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, it is protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK-US data bridge or the UK’s approved contract clauses.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries and newsletter sign-ups: three years from your last contact with us, unless you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details sooner.
• Bookings and Guest Relations messages: five years after your holiday. Some records may need to be kept for longer where the law requires it, for example for tax.

Cookies

Our website sets one cookie of its own. Analytics cookies are set only if you click Accept on the cookie banner.

If you choose to open a map or play a video on our site, Google or the video provider may set their own cookies. These load only when you open them.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct it, or to delete it
• ask us to limit or stop using it, and to object to direct marketing at any time
• ask for information you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it

To use any of these rights, email holidays@skivertigo.co.uk. We will reply within one month, and there is normally no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
