Tucked among snow-dusted pine trees, Plagne 1800 is a charming village nestled into the heart of the iconic Paradiski ski area. Once a former mining village, it now offers a peaceful base with quick access to 425km of skiing. La Plagne is ideal for families and beginners, as well as life long skiers with its mixture of cruisy blues and glacier black runs.
Chalet Petit Chardon sits at 1800m and is just a short walk from the piste and two chairlifts. One lift gives you easy access to Plagne Centre and Bellecote, whilst the other offers access to Aime 2000 and Montalbert. You can also explore the full extent of the Paradiski ski area by taking the Vanoise Express and heading over to Peisey-Vallandry and Les Arcs.
La Plagne is made up of 11 charming villages, each offering something unique to enhance your ski holiday. From lively Après-ski spots to quiet, scenic corners perfect for families, every village has its own character. La Plagne is a firm favourite for good reason. As part of the vast Paradiski area, it offers over 400km of linked pistes with incredible variety and high-altitude snow reliability. Our chalets in Plagne 1800 are tucked in a peaceful corner of the resort, with direct access to the slopes and just one lift away from the main La Plagne hub at Plagne Centre. From here, you can easily explore the wider area, including the dramatic Bellecôte glacier and the tree-lined runs of Montchavin and Les Coches.
La Plagne reflects traditional alpine architecture, with charming wood-clad chalets scattered across its 11 villages and nestled among the trees. The area offers stunning views across the valleys. Throughout La Plagne, you’ll find friendly local restaurants serving hearty Savoyard dishes, as well as a variety of shops, bars, and cafés, making it easy to enjoy everything from a quick coffee to a leisurely meal after a day on the slopes.
La Plagne’s skiing caters to every level – from gentle beginner slopes and wide cruisy blues, to steep reds, thrilling blacks, and plenty of off-piste for the adventurous. Whether you’re here to build confidence or chase powder, La Plagne delivers the goods.
All of our chalet packages include our London Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester flights to Lyon along with airport transfers by coach. The transfer from Lyon airport to La Plagne is approximately 2hrs 45mins. For guests wishing to travel by train, the nearest station is Aime La Plagne. A transfer from Aime La Plagne to Plagne 1800 takes approximately 30 minutes. Driving to La Plagne is another option and we are able to supply detailed directions. The driving time from Calais is around 10 hours. We recommend Eurotunnel FlexiPlus** service that gives greater flexibility and avoids boarding queues.
The skiing in Plagne 1800, La Plagne and the wider Paradiski area is nothing short of amazing. La Plagne is a true snow-lover’s paradise, renowned for its reliable high-altitude conditions. Each season, the resort typically receives around 6 metres of snowfall at 2,000 m, with exceptional years topping 9 metres, ensuring excellent coverage across its vast ski area. Snowfall is most abundant in mid-winter, building a solid base of over 2 metres on the upper slopes, and conditions often remain superb well into spring. From the first lifts in December to the final runs after Easter, La Plagne’s north-facing and high-altitude pistes consistently offer top-quality snow for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.
