Resort Overview
Located at 1,850m, Val d’Isère has more traditional Alpine charm than many resorts, with parts of the ‘Vieux Village’ dating back to 1664. Despite having expanded over the years, the town retains its character, with newer developments generally using natural stone and wood.
The resort has a deserved reputation as a great place for food, drink and socialising, with nearly 100 different places to eat and drink when you include those on the mountain. Located at 2,100m, neighbouring Tignes has an excellent snow record and is connected to Val d’Isère by a well-served lift system, giving our guests access to a vast ski area.
