The Ski Area
Val d’Isère needs little in the way of introduction; it has one of the best snow records in France and an extensive ski area with over 300kms of pistes, served by 96 lifts. It links to neighbouring Tignes to offer some of the highest skiing in Europe. Keep an eye on the Val d’Isère snow forecast here.
The Resort
Chalet Blackcomb is situated just a short walk from the atmospheric and pretty village centre and ski lifts. The partly pedestrianised resort centre is lively in the evenings offering a huge choice of aprés ski options from a quiet drink to partying until 4am if you’ve the energy!

Flights
Flights are with British Airways on Ski Vertigo’s own flight from London Heathrow to Lyon.
Outbound: BA8606 at 0730 from LHR Terminal 5 with arrival at 1010 into LYS Terminal 1
Inbound: BA8607 at 1100 from LYS Terminal 1 with arrival at 1140 into LHR Terminal 5
Transfers
Coaches will be waiting outside the terminal in Lyon to transfer you directly to Val d’Isere. Usually, you will not have to wait for arrivals from other flights. On the return, you will be transferred directly to Lyon by coach. Transfer time to/from resort is approx. 3 hours under normal conditions.
In Resort
On arrival in resort, all guests will need to disembark at the central bus station where your bags will be transferred by us to your chalet whilst you make your way on foot the short distance to the chalet with our staff. On departure, the same happens in reverse.
