Resort Overview

Located at 1,850m, Val d’Isère has more traditional Alpine charm than many resorts, with parts of the ‘Vieux Village’ dating back to 1664. Despite having expanded over the years, the town retains its charming character, which makes it perfect for group holidays.

 

Val d’Isère has a deserved reputation as a great resort for food, drink and socialising. There are nearly 100 different places to eat and drink when you include those on the mountain. Be sure to visit La Folie Douce if you fancy a mountain party accompanied by dancers and musicians; it’s an experience few venues can rival.
