Chalet Catered Ski Holidays
Our catered chalets are equipped with excellent facilities, from cosy living areas to spacious dining areas. You will get to enjoy a glass of wine by the fire with your family and friends while your hosts work behind the scenes to prepare a delectable feast.
Enjoy impeccable service with six days of breakfast, dinners, canapés and aperitifs. For breakfast, you can expect fresh French bread, pastries, fruit, cereals, as well as cooked options. Each day on your return from the slopes, you can expect a different cake with tea and coffee. For dinner, enjoy a three course dinner to refuel after a long day on the slopes.
Family Meal Times
If you’re booking the chalet for your family, we kindly ask that everyone dines together rather than having separate sittings for children and adults. However, we’ll be happy to adjust the dinner time to an earlier slot to suit younger guests better.
Ski Vertigo’s catered ski chalets offer a range of evening meals from beef bourguignon to grilled cod. If you have a specific request, ski trip favourites or dietary requirements, just let our sales team know before you travel, and the resort team will endeavour to cater to all your needs.

Dietary Requirements: We will go above and beyond to tailor any dietary requirements or special requests you may have. As we are catering at high-altitude mountain locations during winter, local availability of specialist foods can be limited.

Frequently asked questions about catered ski chalets
How do catered ski chalet holidays work?
A catered chalet is accommodation that comes with a host (or two) who prepares all your meals, completes housekeeping and looks after guests. There are few ski tour operators who offer catered chalet holidays now. We manage all our chalets season after season. For the 2026/27 season, Chalet Orion and Chalet Pégase in Val Thorens are offered self-catered; every other chalet is fully catered as described here. Ski Vertigo offers breakfast, afternoon tea (cake and tea) and dinner with wine, 6 days a week. Our ski chalet staff are fully trained and our chalets are overseen by our executive chef.
Can I book a catered ski chalet exclusively?
Yes. Mainly groups and families book our chalets exclusively. Our ski chalets range in size from 6 people to 20. Some smaller groups like sharing with other groups which was initially the idea of a ski chalet. But to keep it personal, most of our bookings have the whole chalet to themselves for their ski holiday.
What's the wine like?
Good question! Ski Vertigo offers a range of quality French wine. We offer the choice of two red wines, two wine wines and a rose. We also offer sparkling wine with canapés. Wine and sparkling wine is served six nights a week.
What type of food can you get in a catered ski chalets?
Our chalet menus have been carefully designed by our Executive Chef to serve our guests with imaginative, stylishly-presented, great-tasting cuisine. Our ingredients are sourced locally whenever possible and all our chefs have a passion for what they create.
Our catered ski chalet service includes 6 days of breakfasts, 6 days of afternoon tea and cakes, 6 evenings of 3-course meals including aperitif, canapés plus wine and coffee.

I have dietary requirements. Can you cater for special diets and/or allergies in the ski holiday chalets?
Vegetarian meals can be served. This must be reserved at the time of booking and not later than four weeks before departure. Other special diets including gluten, dairy, and wheat can be provided. This must be confirmed to us at the time of booking at a charge of £49 per person.

I have an allergy - how is this dealt with in a catered chalet?
Due to the nature of catered ski chalets we can not guarantee a free from environment, that includes but is not limited to nuts, gluten, soya… We have a very strict training procedure for staff and an allergy matrix that helps us to manage allergies in our chalets. But we can never be 100% free from.
Please inform us when you book if you have an allergy.
Do chalet staff have a night off?
Yes. Chalet hosts normally have Wednesday off each week. On this night guests go out for dinner. We’ll provide information on where to eat out, normally you need to book in advance.
Do you offer childcare?
Our Ski Vertigo Chalets don’t have childcare options, however if you are looking for chalets with childcare offered, have a look at our sister company Ski Famille to have the same holiday but with childcare options as well!
