When planning a group getaway with friends, family, or for a special celebration, you want a destination that delivers snow sure skiing, seamless convenience, great food, and activities for non-skiers too. Our Val Thorens ski chalets offer ski in ski out access, breath taking scenery, and a resort built to bring groups together. It is more than a holiday, it is an experience. Ski Vertigo chalets are designed with group dynamics in mind. Spacious lounges, terraces with panoramic views, and thoughtfully arranged bedrooms ensure everyone has room to relax, while shared spaces encourage togetherness. Every detail is taken care of, from inclusive in chalet catering and wine with dinner to airport transfers there and back, allowing your group to focus on making memories.

Why Val Thorens is a Stand Out Resort

Val Thorens sits at around 2,300 metres, the highest village in the Alps, and is part of the famed Les Trois Vallées ski area with over 600 km of pistes. That means snow reliability, wide ranging terrain, and views that take your breath away. Whether you are cruising blues, tackling reds or venturing into black runs, there is space for every ability. For groups, the altitude and scale mean you are heading to somewhere serious about skiing but also serious about comfort and the full holiday experience. With its lively resort scene and mountain surroundings, it ticks many boxes. Whether it is watching the early morning sun rise or returning after a full day to a warm fire lit lounge, we have the perfect Val Thorens ski chalets for you.

Val Thorens Ski Chalets

At Ski Vertigo we understand group travel. You want shared laughter in the lounge, incredible views from the terrace, easy access to slopes, and a sense of home away from home. All of our Val Thorens ski chalets are ski in ski out and housed in Chalet Alrock, each run separately but sharing the prime location right on piste.

Chalet Pégase

Chalet Pégase is one of our Val Thorens ski chalets and is designed for groups of up to 12, ideal for two families or a group of friends. It occupies the first and second floors of Chalet Alrock with direct access to the piste. The south facing lounge and diner sits on the upper floor with a fireplace and terrace overlooking the dramatic peaks of Massif de Peclet, Cime Caron and Pointe de la Masse. Every bedroom is en suite, and some rooms have their own balcony or terrace. Your stay includes a cooked and continental breakfast, afternoon tea, pre dinner aperitif and canapés, and three course dinners with complimentary wine.

Chalet Véga

Chalet Véga also sleeps up to 12 and is located just below the central Place du Caron next to the Sports Centre. The six en suite bedrooms are on the third floor, some with balconies, while the top floor has a generous open plan lounge and diner with fireplace and terrace, offering panoramic views of the slopes. The inclusive catering allows your group to relax and unwind after skiing.

Chalet Orion

Chalet Orion is perfect for smaller groups or families with teens, sleeping six on its own floor in Chalet Alrock. Each of the three bedrooms is en suite, and the lounge provides access to the slopes and lifts. With the included catering, you can spend more time enjoying each other’s company and the mountain in this stunning Val Thorens ski chalet.

On the Slopes

With over 600 km of piste via Les Trois Vallées, your group can spread out according to ability. Beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers all have terrain to challenge and delight them. The high altitude ensures reliable snow conditions throughout the season. Val Thorens offers snow shoe walks, mountain cafés, shopping, and alpine views that do not require skis. You can relax, enjoy the scenery, or meet the skiers at lunch or after their runs. Everyone in the group can find activities they love without compromise, staying in our Val Thorens ski chalets ensure the holiday is enjoyable for all.

Dining and Après Ski

No ski holiday is complete without enjoying the food, drinks, and lively atmosphere of the resort. Val Thorens offers an incredible range of bars and restaurants to suit every taste and mood, from lively slope side spots to cosy, intimate venues for groups. After a day on the slopes, your group can gather for a drink and soak up the mountain views in your ski chalet before dinner.  For casual daytime après ski, La Folie Douce is a must. Famous across the Alps, it combines live music, a fun atmosphere, and terrace views that make it perfect for groups looking to celebrate the day. For something a little more relaxed, Le Coffee Club offers hot drinks, cocktails, and light bites, giving non skiers or those who prefer a quieter setting a place to unwind.

When it comes to dining, there is something for everyone. Les Aiguilles de Péclet is perfect for a sit down meal with panoramic views of the mountains, offering a menu full of regional dishes that appeal to adults and teens alike. La Fruitière combines alpine charm with excellent food and a friendly atmosphere, making it ideal for families who want to enjoy a memorable evening out together. L’Oxalys, with its Michelin-starred experience, provides a refined option for those looking to treat the group to something special after a day of skiing.

For groups seeking convenience, many of these restaurants are within walking distance of the chalets, meaning your evenings can start and end without long journeys. Sharing a meal or drinks with friends and family, while recounting the day’s adventures, is part of what makes a Ski Vertigo holiday so memorable. Whether your group prefers lively entertainment, traditional alpine cuisine, or elegant dining experiences. Offering a wide variety that ensures everyone leaves satisfied, Val Thorens ski chalets make the perfect choice for your next ski holiday!

Snowfall and Weather Reliability

At 2,300 metres, Val Thorens sits high above most other ski resorts in the Alps, giving it a reputation for exceptional snow conditions throughout the season. Even in winters when other resorts struggle, the high altitude ensures a solid snow base from early December through to late April. This reliability is a major advantage for group holidays, as it guarantees the runs are in prime condition.  The high altitude also means crisp, clear weather, offering spectacular visibility for skiing, snow shoeing, or simply enjoying the alpine scenery. Even when temperatures drop, the bright winter sun and reflective snow make for perfect skiing conditions and incredible photographic opportunities.

Making the Most of Your Group Holiday

A successful group holiday is all about balance, ensuring everyone has space to enjoy their own pace while still sharing those special moments together. Choosing the right chalet helps set the tone: Pégase and Véga offer spacious accommodations for larger groups, while Orion is ideal for smaller parties or families with teens. Ski Vertigo takes care of the details, including airport transfers, catering, and even all of your extra add ons such as lift passes and ski lessons, so your group can focus on making memories instead of logistics.

Plan your days to mix skiing with downtime, whether that’s relaxing in the chalet lounge, enjoying a hot drink on a terrace overlooking the mountains, or exploring the village. Beginners will find the gentle slopes perfect for building confidence, while non skiers can take scenic walks or soak up the alpine views. By combining adventure, relaxation, and shared experiences, your group holiday becomes seamless, enjoyable, and unforgettable for everyone.
