La Folie Douce is an apres ski institution in Val d’Isere, known for its high-energy parties and stunning mountain views. Located at the top of the La Daille gondola, this venue offers a unique blend of live music, DJ sets, and theatrical performances. The open-air terrace is the perfect spot to dance and celebrate with friends while the sun sets over the Alps. It is no surprise it is one of the most famous Val d’Isere apres ski experiences. It is easy to find with music being played from around midday. Whether you are in the mood to dance or simply enjoy a drink with a view, La Folie Douce promises an unforgettable Val d’Isere apres ski experience.
Located right at the base of the slopes in Val d’Isere, Cocorico is another hotspot for those looking to continue the party after a day of skiing. With its vibrant outdoor terrace and live music, this bar attracts a lively crowd. Enjoy a cold beer or a cocktail as you soak up the festive atmosphere.
The music usually starts in the early afternoon, with live music normally 4-6pm. This is then followed by a DJ set until 8pm making it a great place to transition from skiing to apres ski fun.
Bananas is another great apres option for apres with two lots of happy hour drinks (18:30-19:30 and then 22:00-23:00) and food served all day. Although they don’t have live music every day, expect Bananas to still be a very busy Val d’Isere apres ski venue with DJ nights throughout the season as well. A great location just off the piste and must visit if you are in Val d’Isere.
For a more refined après-ski experience, head to Le Blizzard. This elegant hotel bar offers a cosy, sophisticated setting perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. Enjoy a glass of fine wine or a crafted cocktail by the fireplace, or indulge in a selection of gourmet snacks. The warm, inviting atmosphere makes Le Blizzard a favourite among those seeking a quieter, more intimate apres ski venue.
Le Petit Danois, located in the centre of Val d’Isere and known by locals as ‘PDs’, combines a lively bar atmosphere with Scandinavian charm. Known for its friendly staff and extensive drinks menu, this bar is a great place to relax with friends. They also serve hearty meals, including burgers and Danish specialties, making it a perfect spot for both apres ski drinks and dinner. Music continues there into the evening, making it a great location for post dinner drinks as well as apres.
For a truly special Val d’Isere apres ski dining experience, visit La Grande Ourse. This historic mountain restaurant offers breath taking views and a menu that showcases the best of Savoyard cuisine. Enjoy dishes like fondue, raclette, and tartiflette in a charming alpine setting. The restaurant’s terrace is perfect for soaking in the scenery while savouring a delicious meal.

Located in Le Fornet, just a short drive from the centre of Val d’Isere, this restaurant offers a creative menu that combines traditional alpine ingredients with modern culinary techniques. The cosy yet elegant atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal.
Val d’Isere apres ski options extend past dancing and live music. The resort offers plenty of other unique apres ski activity options.

Sian Manning2025-04-03 We have booked with Ski Vertigo and Ski Famille many times and have never been disappointed. This time we stayed at Chalet Isobelle in Tignes Le Lavachet. The day before our flight Heathrow was closed. Thankyou to the team at Ski Vertigo we still got to our destination and had a great week in a beautiful chalet with superb food and great hosting. We just arrived home from the best weeks stay at Chalet Sapin with our party of 11. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. The chalet is in a fab location, ski in ski out, right beside esf ski school & with lots of space for our teenage crew to spread out! Wonderfully comfy beds, pristine facilities, stunning food & the best hosts we could have wished for. Shout out to Aurelia, Izzy & Alice. It really was a dream week in the sun & snow. Thank you ski vertigo, we will see you next year! Simon Goodwin2025-03-21 Incredibly helpful and friendly customer services during booking process along with great value ski package. Can’t wait for January! julie smith2025-03-18 Perfect place to stay Sam F2025-03-18 The entire team at ski vertigo was amazing! Truly top notch service from a welcoming chalet staff that felt like family. We stayed at Chalet Vega over NYE and we are still talking about our trip 3 months later. Our group visited from Texas, and this was unlike any experience you can find in the states. Will be back for sure! Special shoutout to Dave, Georgia and Ben for taking great care of us. Dave even went toe-to-toe with the manager at British Airways to get us on a different flight after finding out our departure flight was delayed and we were in jeopardy of missing our connection. Absolute over the top service until the moment we left France. Can't thank you guys enough! Hope to see you again soon! Graham Darby2025-03-18 Chalet Camille in Tignes, great facility, staff, location and outstanding service from enquiry to getting home from the week. Would suggest for anyone who wants a great ski break. EmLou B2025-02-22 Gives the impression of everything having been thought through, from bringing provisions for the lengthy coach transfers, to good relations with the ski shop so we were well treated there, lift passes sorted and a reminder to photo them so replacement would be smooth if required. Mads, Finn, Ben and Dave went out of their way to make our week in Chalet Orion, Val Thorens, memorable for all the right reasons. Food was delicious from start to finish and chalet was comfortable and well equipped. Only improvement needed is to WiFi but that requires copper to be replaced, meanwhile mobile data serves instead.
