Cocorico: the heart of Tignes après

Cocorico is the open-air party at the end of the Tignes ski day: a big terrace built for dancing in ski boots, live music rolling into DJ sets, and the Grande Motte glowing pink behind the stage. Inside, a cosy space with rustic alpine decor keeps things going when the temperature drops. Arrive before the bands start if you want a table; after that you will be standing, and shortly after that you will not mind. When it winds down, the bus back to Tignes Le Lac leaves from the stop directly outside.
There is a sister Cocorico on the snowfront in Val d’Isère; if your week spans both resorts, you can compare crowds.

La Folie Douce
No discussion of après in this valley would be complete without mentioning La Folie Douce. Situated at the top of the Daille cable car, this iconic venue offers a unique blend of live music, DJ sets, and high-energy performances. The outdoor terrace provides breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains, making it the perfect spot to dance and unwind in the late afternoon sun. It is not hard to find with the music playing from midday, but make sure to catch the last lift back on Tommeuses to avoid getting stuck in Val d’Isère if you are staying in Tignes.
Loop Bar
Located in Tignes Le Lac, Loop Bar is a favourite among both locals and tourists. With live music performances, happy hours, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s an ideal place to relax after a day on the slopes. The bar also features large screens showing major sports events, making it a popular spot for sports enthusiasts. It is ideally located at the bottom of the Johan Clarey run back into Tignes Le Lac, with a large sun terrace that becomes the perfect sun trap at the end of the day.
Jam Bar
If you’re looking for a more laid-back atmosphere, Jam Bar in Tignes Val Claret is the place to be. Known for its cosy interior and friendly staff, this bar offers a great selection of beers, cocktails, and wines. The bar regularly hosts live music and open mic nights, providing a perfect setting to enjoy good tunes and great company.
