Chalet Alaska was new to the portfolio for 2023/24 and is conveniently positioned in the chalet quarter of Les Almes, close to our La Perle chalet. It’s just over a minute’s walk to the top of the road where you can put your skis or snowboard on to ski down to the Chaudanne and Paquis high-speed chairlifts giving you access to both sides of the mountain in the morning.
After your day on the the mountain, you can ski back to the same point from the Palafour side and you have just 150m to walk to the chalet door.
Chalet Alaska is traditional in style with lots of beautiful local stonework and wood throughout the living areas and bedrooms. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities and the sauna and hot-tub further add to Chalet Alaska’s appeal for groups and couples alike.
At Ski Vertigo, we create and operate all our holidays ourselves. We have crafted a package for skiers and snowboarders using our own flights and operate hand-picked chalets which are staffed with our own people, trained to the highest standards.

In 2 minutes, you can be out of the door of Chalet Alaska and onto the nearby blue run that takes you down to either the Chaudanne (for exploring Palafour area) or Paquis chair (to easily get into the Val d’Isere area). Alternatively, in 5 minutes, you can walk down the road to the central rond-point where ski schools meet and there are more lifts and ski buses to Val Claret or even Les Boisses. To return to Chalet Alaska on skis or board, you can ski from the Palafour side and ski almost to the door. Excellent location, near to our other chalet, Chalet La Perle!
Chalet Alaska is situated in the Les Almes quarter of Tignes Le Lac where most chalet accommodation is located. There are multiple restaurants, cafés, shops and supermarkets all a short walk away.
There is a leisure centre in Le Lac (free access with a 6 day lift pass), a luge and many other attractions.
Fill the chalet to the minimum capacity of 18 and get a 25% discount off the holiday price for the 19th and 20th bed (excluding supplements and extras).
Prebook your ski/board hire through us before you travel and receive access to our preferential rates. We have partnered with Intersport, the shop that is closest to the central lifts and ski school meeting point, making swaps easier. You will receive a voucher which can be presented at the shop in return for your equipment.

Flights are with British Airways on a Ski Vertigo charter from Heathrow or Gatwick to Lyon.

Outbound: BA8606 at 0730 from LHR Terminal 5 with arrival at 1010 into LYS Terminal 1
Inbound: BA8607 at 1100 from LYS Terminal 1 with arrival at 1140 into LHR Terminal 5
Gatwick
Outbound: BA8624 at 0620 from LGW South Terminal with arrival at 0900 into LYS Terminal 1
Inbound: BA8625 at 1000 from LYS Terminal 1 with arrival at 1040 into LGW South Terminal
Coaches will be waiting outside the terminal in Lyon to transfer you directly to Tignes. On the return, you will be transferred directly to Lyon by coach. Transfer time to/from resort is approx. 3 hours under normal conditions.
On arrival in resort, all guests will need to disembark at the central bus station where your bags will be transferred by us to your chalet whilst you make your way on foot the short distance to the chalet with our staff. On departure, the same happens in reverse.
